Fair review -- but in regards to the views, you didn't even mention the views at upper Chisolm or Conquest! You can see the entire San Gabriel Mountain Range and even Catalina Island up there on a clear day!

My home resort. Fair review, they keep the resort open until mid april usually.

Employees are chill, never had any issue with them, and gave us some extra runs at the end of the day. I reccomend going on a light snowday or blue bird and trying both resorts, East resort is even smaller but has some great tree runs, you can hit both resorts in a day, and then do night runs, glad you had fun, I'll keep an eye out for ya next season.

I'm not down for the volcano though.

Skied Mt High today (2/27/25) Nice chill, relaxing vibe. Conditions were good…..solid base of man made snow. Views are better than your rating. I’d give views a 5.

At the top of Mountain High you can see the ocean if it's a clear day.

Grew up riding at Mt. High and I have to say, it’s sad to see it change so much over the years. It used to be so good for the local/cheaper climate and now it’s gotten so expensive to ride in general that they’ve been forced to change with the times. Always been a good place but wish it hadn’t evolved so much.

I work there as a ski instructor. I love working there because we all feel like family. Very warm vibe. It's small, so great for beginners, and close to LA, so a perfect day trip. However, with views, I didn't know this til a coworker told me, but at the 2 tops, you can see views of the ocean and Catalina island on a clear day. I actually rode the lift with a guest who told me he came here just for the views! The top of conquest lift you will see a golden shimmer, that's the ocean at Long Beach harbor. And you can see silhouettes of boats and oil pumps, as well as the silhouette of Catalina Island. Not as clear from the top of Blue Ridge lift, but you will see that golden shimmer.

@2:14 Got my first concussion riding here with this exact thing happening to me, except I thought it was a good idea to try to ollie over her board. Clipped it and hit the sheet of ice on the top of the run instead.

FYI. Parking and the drive up is absolutely terrible after snowfall. Seen it bumper to bumper from the exit of the freeway to the parkinglot. However, it could get good and empty. I usually go for the night skiing. Way cheaper and a pretty cool Friday night thing to do. Think you hit the nail on the head with just using the resort for warming up for the season.

The "volcano box" is what we call the Richter Scale here haha. I remember one of my coworkers spotting you when you were up here. It's a shame we haven't put up the Richter Scale in a few seasons. It breaks a lot of people off 😬 of we put it up this season, I will come back and comment here again!

Mountain high. Oh I remember living in Huntington Beach and always going to snow summit or big bear instead. Even snow valley. Lol

Hi JB, I have a lifetime pass to Mountain High. I grew up in California. My brother lives only 1 hr from this mountain. It's easy to get to. The vibe back in the day was very sweet. Not what it's like nowadays. It's actually pretty high up in the sky. They have a couple runs that can get your mojo going, The snow is heavier than in Colorado. However it's nice and one could actually do it in one day,

Mt High is my local mountain here in Cali although I hit snow summit in Big Bear every year
