I adore you! My elderly neighbor was "scammed" out of $2, 000, and although I do realize that's not much compared to what other victims have lost, my neighbor almost lost her independence when her adult children came swooping in and decided that "Mom" could not live on her own anymore.
We were able to convince them that she was, in fact, VERY "with-it", and she was, in fact, able to conduct her affairs independently, but my neighbor suffered a mild stroke from all the stress of everything. I dearly love my neighbor, we are very good friends and I feel very protective of her, as do her adult children. They finally backed off, and my good friend is still living next-door. She's doing fine. So, all this to say:
*IT'S NOT JUST THE MONEY!! WHAT THESE SCAMMERS DO CAN RUIN LIVES FOREVER!!*
