Part 4 in my Canal Walk videos series.

In more preparation for my WALK TO WALES mission in the summer, I decided to get in some more long distance canal towpath walking/training.

May 2nd, 2021 my daughter Emily and I walked from our home in Chingford and along the River Lea canal tow path, beginning at bridge 28a, to Bow (the last lock on the river before it leads out into the Thames) and back again. A distance of 19.1 miles. Here is the best footage. We had great fun, as always. Building precious memories for both of us.
I walked across the lock gate at Tottenham (which was scary!) and Old Ford.

New distance walking record: 19.1 miles (30.7km).
Walked from Edmonton to Bow along the River Lea canal, taking in 5 locks:
Stonebridge (#16), Tottenham (#17), Pond Lane Flood Gates (#18 - disused), Old Ford (#19) and finally Bow (#20), which is the last lock on the canal before it leads out into the River Thames; and 2 Premier League football stadiums: Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.

In July 2021 I am walking the entire length of the Grand Union Canal from London to Birmingham and then on to Wales to climb some mountains. I will wild camp along the way and hopefully be joined by some friends. So I thought I'd get some walking practice in on canals and experiment with filming.
