Kylie Jenner is Upset at "Beauty Standards"...That She Created. In this video we will deep dive into the world of The Kardashians and the viral tiktok clip of Kylie Jenner crying about beauty standards that not only her family standardized, but also reinforced into social media and a whole generation of women. Kylie Jenner went from being body shamed and criticized for her lips- to the biggest contributor to modern day toxic beauty standards that we see on instagram, tikok and social media all the time. From the copy paste influencer faces to botox, BBL's, fillers, iphone face, and so many more beauty trends- it's hard to empathize with the Kardashians, however- they too were once women who were also body shamed and criticized, but how did that change as they became bigger and bigger in the beauty industry? let's talk about it!

I also would like to add that Kim did NOT dissolve her BBL because she wanted to reverse the damage. She dissolved it because there's a return to the super skinny trend and she wanted to advertise Ozempic 🤷

My mom always said when I was a kid, "With all these people getting surgery and using photo editing, people aren't going to know what humans are supposed to look like. She was right. I literally have come across people who think that women can look like Instagram girls just by working out, and they think ALL women have ribcages that allow for tiny, tiny waists. Like, no.

What stands out to me is the way Kylie’s tone kind of emphasizes that she’s more surprised that it’s happening to someone like HER, more than just upset that it’s happening in general.

Like she always empathizes “me” and how wild it is people are judging HER.
As if she is supposed to be immune to that sort of thing, unlike other people.

It rubs me weird…

The way she emphasizes "ME" "why do people think it's ok to talk about MEE" As if it's ok to talk about other people, ust not her... That "MEEE" disgusts me so much...

Shes a billionaire. Social media IS toxic but If she really wanted to go away from the spotlight she literally can. She has the money to move somewhere else where she wants and not post anything. She just doesn't want to. She's a grown ass adult and No one forces her to post her vacation luxury trip photos or her pics where she's surrounded by luxury bags.

I would have felt bad for her if it wasnt for the fact that she would later PROFIT from peoples insecurities by selling them products and unobtainable looks of herself to promote a brand, at that point she was already an adult and knew very well was she was doing, so she has no business crying about it now.

*To me, the most telling thing about where their family's mindsets, in terms of beauty standards, still are comes from Kendall's immediate response to Kylie in that clip. To comfort Kylie, Kendall says "I'm not lying, you've never looked younger or better." In my opinion, what I think she should have said is WHO CARES WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE it's not the end of the world to have some wrinkles on your skin or circles around your eyes, etc!! I myself only have sisters and my mom instilled confidence in us not by constantly praising our looks, but the opposite - reminding us that we are so much more than just looks. I've noticed that constantly throughout their show - if any one of them vents about their looks or physique, the whole fam comes in with compliments, only reinforcing their need for praise for their looks for their self-worth*

Shes 27, that’s when most people “grow into” their adult bodies, the fact that her mom or sister didn’t tell her to chill, wait and see before doing anything is crazy. She hasn’t had a single positive influence around her

It still amazes me that she was able to sell a product that successfully based on a lie that she didn’t have injections and that it was just her lip kits.

I think she tried to sound like...kinda relatable? like "hey guys I'm just like you you're just like me beauty standards hurt me too Bad beauty standard bad" but it's quite literally impossible cause relatability goes against her whole brand

I worked for plastic surgeons. We had patients who were addicted. Some were sent for psych evals before the Dr. Would agree to do anymore work. Repeat plastic surgery can become like a hobby.

While I understand the kardashians “ created” the beauty standards over the last few years, how did we as a society allow ONE family to set the standards?

I'll never forget hearing "The devil works hard, but Kris Jenner works harder." And it's true.

in my opinion she didn’t create the standard of this toxic beauty standard but she was a victim of it and then gave a helping hand
and further establishing onto younger generations. her WHOLE brand was set on this unrealistic foundation she shouldn’t be suprised know that she can’t keep or is getting criticised. yes it’s wrong to talk about her looks but if looks if all she actually got and based herself of, it shouldn’t be as suprising…. at the end of the day the real villain is that malicious mother and the patriarchy, a deadly duo.

It’s hard to feel that bad for her. Is she also a victim of the larger beauty standards pushed by society for centuries? Yes. Has she been a huge contributor to worsening body image problems for girls and women of our generation? Absolutely. You don’t get to act like being a victim absolves you of any responsibility for a problem you contributed greatly to

I feel so sorry for any celebrity who has a "momager". Jeanette McCurdy, Jojo Siwa, these 5... They warn you about going into business with friends or family because it changes the relationship so much. After you go into business with a friend, there's always going to have to be that cold streak in the friendship where feelings are put aside for the sake of the business. To have that be their MOM...

🦆 It’ll never not blow my mind the way they’re still saying they’ve never had plastic surgery beyond lip fillers. It’s the gaslighting for me. Kim could not breathe in that corset at the MET Gala. She looked like she was losing brain cells from lack of air.
