My favorite moment with the Gegenpress in action was watching Liverpool play Manchester City in 2018. City had a halftime lead in the middle of their 100-point season, and suddenly in the second half, Klopp makes a "swarm, swarm" gesture like some bad cop movie, and Liverpool scores three goals in ten minutes.

When the squad isn't routinely changed players get tired and wear out after a few seasons. Squad depth is key to maintain the pressing intensity.

This style is also often refered to Red Bull football, because that's the main way players in their system are drilled even from a young age. You beat it with 5 midfielders or very advanced backs and/or very precise passing throughout the midfield.
