Pela not being in the S tier even before Acheron came out was always criminal to me. Pela and Tingyun are easily the best 4 stars in the game and are also very future proof. They both give you so much value, even if you don't have Resolution lc for Pela, her ult defense shred is ridiculous plus she gets her ult SUPER FAST!

gallagher in B tier is CRIMINAL, he's literally the only 4-star sustain I've used that has the same level of comfort as some of the 5-star sustains. his skill point generation is underrated too

so glad you did the bailu lynx comparison. a lotta f2p players may get bailu and never build her because everyone says lynx is better, then get bodied in moc because cleansing alone isn't gonna keep you alive.

I'm not used to commenting here, but I feel like I gotta leave my opinion about Lynx:

Lynx might not be a good healer when you try to heal your whole team with her all the time, but when you put her on a team with someone that is from the path of preservation or destruction, a unit that WANTS to get hit (like Clara or even Fire MC with the market LC), that's the situation where she REALLY pops off, because she's able to keep the rest of the team protected by making the enemies hit the unit she's healing because that destruction/preservation unit becomes more susceptible to getting hit by the enemies.

To be fair, they only added Acheron and Gallagher into the list the day after the patch went live without changing anyone else's position yet, so all the others are still based on pre-Acheron release in their evaluation. They might do another update soon enough to be more comprehensive, maybe alongside when the data for the new PF is uploaded.

I completely agree with the lynx take, i have a F2P account with lynx and gallanher, and gallanher is just miles ahead of lynx, doing MoC i had to try like 20 times with lynx cuz i just kept dying meanwhile no one ever dies with gallanher

EDIT:
PF 4 main focus element is Physical/Ice first side and Wind/Lightning second side. Even if there is some some Fire weakness on second side, the main focus weakness will outshine the later especially when talking about Himeko. So, for me it is understandable that Himeko is slightly below Herta.

Sorry for the long essay. But just to maybe give my opinion and insight on Acheron's placement in PF by prydwen. This is my opinion when I was testing her in new PF. You can test it yourself to see if I talk bullshit or not or get different result. I am intrigued to listen to your opinion.

Was testing her at E0 without second dps and just building her team (pela Acheron sw and gepard), she fell off quite a bit from her placement in MoC. The reason is not because she does not have damage. No. The main issue is you cannot get Ult stack fast enough to trigger the ult everytime new enemy spawn in (not new wave but new enemy in same wave).

Remember, her technique only trigger on 'New wave'. PF has 'Wave' but also has new spawn in each wave and the fact that the enemies is quite slow to attack Gepard (with Trend LC) makes Acheron Ult stacks generation quite bad. Bare in mind I have both SW and Pela at 161 spd. As you also mentioned, Turn Value is key in PF and the fact that she need to rely on enemy hitting Gepard to get stacks is a bit oof.

Even if you take out SW or Gepard and put BS into her team. This does not really solve the Ult stacks issue as everytime new enemy spawn, even if they receive Arcana stack (each), it will 'NOT' contribute into Acheron Ult stacks everytime each new enemy spawn in either in same wave or new wave. However, putting BS does helps quite a bit in term of overall team dps to clear content (bare in mind BS damage also falls off a bit since you don't have Kafka to stack up BS Arcana in that team)

You can also test her with Sparkle or Bronya to see if it helps solve her Ult stacks problem. Sure you may or may not lose some of her damage (because the 2 nihility talent req.), but since overall HP pool of PF4 is lower than MoC12, and since she does so much damage anyway, maybe it is better. I don't own both of them so I don't have experience in that regards.

Acheron is definitely S+ tier in pure fiction lmao. I literally picked 2 random unbuilt nihility characters + Ruan Mei and I got 3 stars everywhere

One issue I have with them having sustains only based on their ability to sustain is also hypocritical. Bailu heals more than Lynx. In any situation that you aren't facing hard CC which, is actually a fair few still, Bailu will outperform Lynx in the role of healing yet they always keep her a tier below. Plus there are some enemies Lynx will struggle with sustaining through that Bailu doesn't have that issue. So if they want to base it solely off keeping the team alive, at least be consistent with it. Yes, cleansing is important, but if your benchmark is only keeping the team alive they really need to think that through more.

Gallager with the attack reduction WILL SAVE you in situations where bosses do insane single target damage. Just one point of reduced attack will save your ass form getting 1 shotted

The thing with himeko is that she doesn't necessarily need to a fire weakness stage to function in PF. If you run her with Herta on only ice weak stages, Herta will still trigger her followup incredibly frequently. 2/7 element coverage is actually pretty darn good considering most cycles of pure fiction will have 4 different elements available at minimum.

I agree with most things said here, The thing with ruan mei and sparkle being placed in different tiers is that although ruan mei has a higher pull value due to her universality most top teams for characters that contain the 1 dps 2 supports and 1 sustain format (Which is the most common format for your average player) tend to use sparkle much more often than they tend to use ruan mei, The Most Common combination is Sparkle and Tingyun: Argenti, Selee, Jing Yuan and Lunae to provide some examples, and if you're running a nihility sustain or you're using e2 acheron you'd also want sparkle over ruan mei iirc, and I do understand the argument that you should run 3 supports anyways when your account reaches sufficient strenght but not only does that apply to a small minority of the playerbase once a new support comes out i'd argue it's probably ruan mei who gets replaced and not sparkle (Purely due to sparkle being better for hypercarry and by ruan mei being replaced I'm talking about purely 3 support scenarios) An Example would be I guess: Ruan mei is 80 and will always be 80 and then sparkle can be 60 but she could also be 100 (The numbers used aren't literal percentages) so i think that's why it's difficult for them to put them on different tiers (A lot of Yap I know)

Good thing smack highlighted how the sustain section was evaluated. I’ve kept saying that this ranking is about how good do they do the sustain role. FX by far is comfiest since your unit wont die after being focused by the whole enemy team

Saying that black swan's value is in the same tier as kafka as far as dot is concerned is interesting to me when we know there will be another B.S eventually but kafka will still remain the cornerstone of all dot comps. I do agree that b.s is in s tier with acheron naturally.
Also, Welt is minimum A tier but his biggest problem is how hard he is to build and optimise especially as a dps when he gets literally no help from his own kit unlike most top tier dps (no crit, ehr, major dmg amp etc...). That being said, he's well worth the investment as long as u do em justice and if u manage to get e2 onwards, in the words of the great mtashed : it changes everything. A 2 turn black hole is nothing to scoff at imo.
