I’m looking into buying some Swann Morton knives and wanted a heads-up. This vid is just what I needed. Thanks Kim!

Thank you! I inherited a Swann-Morton handle from architect housemates and had no idea where to even start with identifying the blade size or how to swap it out.

Thanks for this. I looked at it for an hour and didn't have a clue

Thanks Kim! I kinda forget how as I hadn't needed to use this type in a while and it has been ages since I did this but am back to using replaceable blades vs the whole thing and throwing. I prefer the old high end metal handles Swann used to make for surgical use. Handles so much better.

I kinda forgot how do this (sorta - but was fully correct on my assumptions) and wanted to learn again before trying it. Still glad I watched. Back in the day when I had much more time I used to do with hemostats or a finger nail but mini pliers seems *MUCH* much safer. Never have slipped and don't want to, as I know fully how sharp these are!

These are great with hooked blade for doing suture removal as well safely if you are trained on medical. Also for removing stitches for sewing and for stitch removal in leatherwork. So many blade options make the blade only replacement type much superior to 'single' use. I tried those but the cheap plastic handles are junk except certain medical uses I really don't have need for! Metal is best.

Thank you SO MUCH for this video! These blades last me quite a while, so unfortunately I forget how to take it off and reinsert and this video is invaluable! By the way, I'm in the States and NO, they DO NOT sell these here - I ordered mine from a shop in Australia on Etsy!
