Marin Presidio 1 Review: Budget Gravel Bike Or Urban Hybrid? 2021 & 2022

I’ve had a 2021 Marin Presidio for a long time now. It's one of my favorite bikes I own! When it originally debuted, it was on sale for $450. Now it retails for $499. That's such a deal for a bike with a 1x Drivetrain, Hydraulic Disc Brakes, and room to put some fat 700c tires. I wasn’t going to do a video on this particular bike until my friend, and channel patron, Justin bought one for himself. I figured it would be a good time to showcase both the bike in the factory state as well as how crazy it can be with some modifications. Just picked up a 2022 presidio 1 and absolutely love it.
I even prefer the colour scheme to the other models, its so nice.
I havent ridden a bicycle in a long time and was blown away by how easy it is to ride this thing, how fast I can get on it and how light it feels.
The brakes are great and I really cant fault it.
Ive only had to index the rear derailleur but apart from that, its been perfect.

Bought this baby during the beginning of the pandemic and definitely do not regret it. Very well made. Trust me, ive a had a few accidents where the bike got banged up pretty freakin good. Lol. This bike is solid af! And i still have the original rims with little damage from those accidents. Just a slight wobble to them but not bad enough to where it’s unsafe to ride on them. Marin bicycles are great quality bicycles. Definitely worth buying. You definitely get your money’s worth. I highly recommend this to friend, family, anyone.

I have done a ver similar upgrade to a Specialized Sirrus X. I call it Frankenstein because all that’s original is the frame and wheels. The wheels are next. I upgraded brakes and gear, and now have Surly Moloko bars.
