SURVIVAL: How to collect water from plants

Step-by-step procedures on how to use EVAPOTRANSPIRATION to acquire fresh drinking water from plants in a wilderness survival situation.... This video was shot on a warm summer day in August in San Diego, California. Temperatures were in the low 80's.

10 bags = 1/4 cup of water. So need 40 bags and wait 6 hours ! Very good video

Add a chamois cloth to your survival kit. Collect the moisture in the bags. Remove each bag carefully. Insert the Chamois into the bag allowing it to soak up all the water - even the small droplets on the sides. Ring the chamois into a container or squeeze into your mouth. Chamois are inexpensive, fold down to nothing and weigh nothing. In a desert environment they could also be used by placing in a hole dug in a low lying area around healthy green plants. Dig until you find moist soil, insert chamois into hole and allow it to soak up the moisture.

This is awesome! Now I just learned the way to get water. The videos you made are very helpful. Some people may think that’s useless. Some people don’t know how to swim and some do. When flood come, those people who know how to swim survive, and those who don’t know how to swim most likely to be died.

I guess it would make a big difference what stone you put in the bag. Not a porous one if you have a choice.
