Some more mods i'd like to mention that could go into this list:
Aquatic craft(Forge 1.16.5-1.20.1)
this mod adds 2 dimensions, with a lot of different biomes and bosses for each biome. It also adds a lot of real life and fantasy fish, some are found in the new dimensions, and some in the overworld. And, ofcourse, onto the fishing part: this mod adds quite a few new fishing rods that can catch different fish depending on the biome. Fish in this mod are quite unique and dont really show up in mods often, for example:baby dolphin(sadly, just an item). All the mobs are high detailed, and, even though have basic animations, are really cool. This is a really underrated and super gigantic mod, with 2000+ mod elements in total.
Big fish(Forge 1.16.5-1.20.1)
this is a small mod adds some new cool fish types you can catch, like shrimp, swordfish, angler fish, eels, rays, crabs and lobsters, and even a shark! All those fish are item-only, so dont try to find them in the ocean!
Babapata's fishy friends(Forge 1.20.1)
this mod adds 58 new fish, 1 new fishing rod and a currency system to the game. Another good mod just on the fishing part.
Exline's fishing(Forge & Fabric 1.20.1)
This mod adds 50+ new fish that you can catch, but also some trash items like tires and cans. For now you have to eat them raw, but in the future you'll be able to cook them!
Fishing upgrade(Forge 1.20.1)
tjis mod adds a whole new fisherman villager trading system, fish rarety system, and 4 new enchantments. This mod adds a sort of RPG element to minecraft, you have to catch fish, then see its rarety thanks to the fisherman villager, and cut it or sell it. Nice mod to have, and defently improves fishing alot!

Nice addition is aquaculture 2 has an addon that makes it compatible with Farmers Delight, if you wanted the 2 together.

Smaller details like the custom texture for the Words in the thumbnail are the little things that make this channel better than the others, keep it up man.

Giacomo's fishing net deserves to be here. Ever since I found out about it, I have been using it in my packs. Everything from the use of the block, the texture and even the ability to throw the net are something that makes this feel like another way of fishing that could have been added in the past along with the fishing rod. I believe it fits so well with the game!

Still hoping someone updates Fishing Made Better for 1.18+. I only played 1.12 briefly just to test out its mods, and FMB was one of my favorites. It made fishing more engaging and fun, adding a fishing mini-game, ecosystem mechanics, etc.
