Oh man, that was Great!! Patrick Simmons is in the finest form. Saw them 1/28/24 at the Moody Center in Austin, TX for the first time ever, and they blew us all away.

Gotta love these Guy's one of the most classical badass bands EVER. Saw them live in May 2022. Awesome Bumped into John Mcfee in the Lobby what a cool and Talented musician. I Hope to see them again. I have followed them since the 70s.

Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons don't get enough credit, in my book, for being two of the greatest, and longest-standing musical partners in popular music history. Their songbook together is just amazing. Sure doesn't hurt to have the great John Cowan (of New Grass Revival fame) playing bass and lending his amazing pipes to the vocal mix!

Wow! That was fantastic! Thanks so much for posting it! I grew up with this music, yet I never knew any of their names--I only knew of Michael McDonald. I just saw a New Year's Eve Dick Clark Special that was posted with The Doobie Brothers. After I saw Patrick Simmons singing Black Water, I had to find out more about him--what a great voice--what a totally cool dude--seeing him in that video in 1975, then in this one--he seems unaffected and just a great musician still killing it!
