How can talent leaders make the onboarding experience more personal for new hires or people in new roles, enabling them to be active participants and contributors in the process, instead of a checkbox of items?

One of the biggest risks when it comes to onboarding relates to one-way information dissemination that most often characterizes these processes. There's so much information that new hires need to know and grasp.

One way to address this problem is for talent leaders to think through what information they could possibly collect from new hires that would be a benefit to the company.

For example, one company scheduled a session for new hires with the CEO two weeks after they began for them to provide views on positive - and less than positive - aspects of the culture.
