If you're finishing in only 2K without any need for VFX do you think 21:1 compression ratio is noticeable?

Is it just me or is the 12:1 even less grainier than the 6:1 at 2:13?

You should compare this to Prores, I have been finding prores compression has far less effect on noise levels and noise rendering, to the point where 4K prores LT upscaled to 8K looks way better than 8K 12:1 and even a bit better than 8K 8:1 even at a 3-4x higher bitrate. I think it is because compression makes correct debayering of noise detail much harder whereas Prores is compressing images debayered from an uncompressed RAW stream. Might also be related to some weird black level clipping stuff that seems to happen on Helium R3Ds.

And in Mp4 such a video is 1% of that file size...
