I tried my fist "lotto" on SPY with a great setup that hit the week after my prediction, like you, I had a hunch it' would recover within days so my risk was miscalculated, I completely fumbled the contract decay aspect. It was only 1 contract so not a big loss and I stuck to my S/L.

Thank you for this video though, it definitely helps illustrate how far out I should be looking for contract exp.

Would have been better to sell a put or credit put spread and earn tetha; selling options are usually better when prices go sideways.
