Greetings from the other side of the pond in Coventry UK !! Brian you gotta be the best teacher around. As a genuine 'Golden Oldie' (82 years young) l do appreciate your style of informal, simple teaching. You are head and shoulders above all the others, they are just pretenders to the throne. Keep up the good work !! - Len.

I've watched a lot of your videos. Very informative. I watched this video twice and the Apprentice S 1.2m once and decided on looking for apprentice S 1.2m RTF on ebay auction. Found one that had damage to the left aileron and the servo gears were stripped. Hot water took care of the aileron and I bought a new servo (Horizon Hobby). The Apprentice S 1.2m was fully intact. Still factory sealed. Last year, I bought 2 cheap Chinese RC Airplanes. First one, I hand launched, went 10 feet, took a sharp Right turn, the nose dive into the ground. I was a "One and done" for a month. Bought a different Chinese cheap RC plane and had a great deal of trouble trying to fly. So, I was done again for a few months. Your videos convinced me to go with Horizon Hobby and Spektrum. That changed my life. I bought a UMX Sport Cub S 2. It was like a DREAM flying that one. Liked it so much I bought another UMX Sport Cub S 2 in case I needed parts. Second one will be for my grandson this spring. I will only buy Horizon Hobby and Spektrum. I also bought FMS Cessna 182 1400mm, Mini Aeroscout, and UMX Torbo Timber. I'll be looking for an RC Flying Club to join this spring. I've also read up on AMA rules, whatever you call them. It's common sense stuff. My goal is to save money to buy a Valiant. Loved the way it looks. Many, many thanks for your videos. You are an inspiration to so many people who want to get into this hobby.

The new up-dated version S 2 with the IC3 connector and smart ESC is now on pre-order from Horizon Hobby! I am happy, because I always wanted to get one for my son!

Hi Brian Thank you so much for the video I just love the slow easy relaxing planes to fly myself a great way
To unwind and my 50th is coming up soon and this is top of my list ...the reason I think your channel is the best is because you’re prepared to help new people get into this hobby....ignore the you should have moved on from this kind of plane snobs ..and keep up the good work...best wishes Chris

Thanks Brian and Megan, I mean camera crew😁. I bought this plane 4 years ago. It’s still in the shipping box unopened. I guess life kind of got in the way. Time to build tune and fly. Thanks for the tips.✌️👍

I have this one as my first plane for couple of days now and its super easy to fly! I started trying some aerobatics - my best move so far is a barrel roll into a crazy panic button smashing;)

I'm surprised that Horizon isn't using DJI type avoidance detection on their trainer planes yet. However, this looks like a great plane for someone coming from rc trucks to start with. I enjoy that there is still a little bit of building with these. I always found that the build is actually a big part of the fun of hobby grade rc

Another good one to start flying with is the Carbon Cub S+ 1.3 Has the same programming as the STS. And you can add flaps to it.

This is my first RC plane I like it because it is very slow and since I am slow I love it. I wish that RCs would have wheel brakes. Thanks for looping the moon. Wonderful audio. As we say to teachers of Ham radio you are a good Elmer. A very nice job in the basics of out sport.

Great video. I just picked up the E-flite Apprentice STS and it is a wonderfully easy aircraft to fly. My kids and I had a great first time experience flying Sunday. Three successful takeoffs, flights, and landing in quite a bit of wind gusts.

Can't go wrong with the Apprentice large or mini. Took the landing gear off mine and put some packing tape on the belly for protection. Adjusted the control horns for max throw and is one of my favorite plane's in my hanger. Very peaceful flying plane. Brian I'm surprised I haven't seen a video of you flying the Eflite Valiant. It fits your flying style. Imo it's a Eflite hall of fame plane. Should always be for sale.

Thanks for the beginner info. I'm now retired and very excited to get back into the hobby. I used to build balsa gliders but these trainers look fun and easy to learn on. I love the info you share. Thanks

Thank you Brian for this fantastic informative review/tutorial video.. having been really enjoying myself with my first 2rc planes.. the brill omp T720 and the fun sports cub 500. I'm now ready for something slightly bigger.. having watched all of your brill reviews on larger trainer's I've pretty much made my mind up to go with horizon hobby as brand.. and the Mini apprentice S seems like a great 3rd plane to take me to the next level... thank you so much again for sharing your knowledge and experiences with us...and a big 👍 to the camera crew...kind regards Dave
