My humble recommendation for beginners would be the hobbyzone sport cub s. Approachable, cheap, and easy to fly! It is what I started on! Thumbs up horizon

I have the larger version of The Apprentice s which I'm still learning to fly by the way. I chose it because it's heavier and less susceptible to wind turbulence. A great aircraft in either size. Can I get that battery charger for the larger version ?

Great plane, I have one myself. Too bad you guys discontinued it. The fullsize 1.5m Apprentice is too big. These are easy to repair if you crash because you can buy replacement parts to rebuild nearly everything. Even if you were wanting to train with a traditional glow/nitro 2-stroke/4-cycle trainer balsa kit this one should be your first. They don't take crashes like this one does and repairs involve a lot of time replacing balsa wood, gluing and covering repair. Make that Sig Kadet LT-25 or LT-40 your second plane and you will be better off.

Total BS about the 30 minutes assembly and flight times though. You took over 7 minutes just getting it out of the box. I would set aside 2 1/2 - 3 hours realistically to do it right. That might even be pushing it. Or you could just take a sawzall to the box and slam the parts together broken or not to accomplish this ridiculous 30 minute deadline.
