i don't know... i heard during the press conference that he was neutral... he always killed someone in previous ac trailer but was always neutral in the games...

Presumably a fictional British officer, similar to the dozens of fictional officers violently murdered in previous games.

he's helping the americans only because they are fighting templars, when they stop fighting templars then i assume he will cease to assist them

Would almost agree, except he says "They speak of liberty and justice. But for whom?" Seems like there's a twist in there somewhere. Either or, you can't justify your assumptions from a mere trailer.
