LUMIX S9 18-40mm f4.5-5.6 vs Sony A7CII Which is BEST?

Hey everyone! With the release of the LUMIX S 18-40mm f4.5-5.6, I think it is finally time to put the LUMIX S9 vs Sony A7CII side by side. Today I am sharing autofocus tests from both systems as well as a tonne of on location video footage, photos, low light tests and more so you can see how they compare and help decide which one is right for you. I've sold A7C II and jumped to S9. I much prefer Panasonic colors, LCD screen and IBIS is just insane. Those 3 things sealed the deal for me although A7C II is also a great camera. Nice comparison.

Both are nice cameras…thought the S9 video output edged out the A7Cii, though the Sony likely the better hybrid for a photographer simply as it has a small EVF, partial mechanical shutter (?) and has some level of weatherproofing. Choose your needs based on what you do. In US S9 plus lens $1800. A7Cii with-lens $2500..

If you get the S9 and want to vlog or shoot low light, get the 18mm s 1.8, it turns the s9 into the best vlog/walking/tutorial camera ever!
