Hi! The Klerksorp spheres remind me of what we called "sand rocks" found in central Louisiana. They are spherical, or oblong "rocks", ranging in size to that of a marble, to the size of an adult fist. They are hollow, orangish red colored, and have a somewhat granular, sandy surface. When you shake them, you can hear a sound, due to the coarse sand or fine gravel found inside. Upon breaking them, in addition to the gravel inside, you find that have a deep purple colored interior, and the "walls" of the sphere are black and about 3/16ths of an inch thick. If you wet your finger, and rub the inside for a while, it makes a kind of reddish purple "paint", which may have been used as a face paint by indigenous people. They are somewhat similar to geodes.

The Roman Dodecahedron was solved by a knitter. The holes fit your hand’s fingers. They were knitting tools to make gloves!!!

The dodecahedrons look like looms to me. They may have been used to make cords of different thicknesses.

Why don’t they carbon date the wooden handle of the hammer? Could there be a reason this was not done?

The dodecahedra, frequently found with coins, are probably large denominations of money.
Think $500 or $1000 dollar bills. They would be virtually impossible to counterfeit and could be carried in money bags by the very rich.

You said it yourself that the London hammer could have been incased in 100, 000of years well it can’t be an American miners hammer and idk of any Indian tribes or even myan or any other early civilization that worked with iron like that.. idk I just don’t see rock forming even in 100 years it takes a very long time for sediment to turn into rock.. just my opinion though.

Skulls, whatever the source or manufacturing methods they certainly look attractive.
I'd be happy to own one if (a) I could afford it, and (b) I could get it past the missus ... I mean, one more skull in the place, what earthly difference could it make? (Oh ... unearthly ... silly me.)
