Oscar was an example of refined elegance in everything he did. There are few designers left that can compare to him.
His homes and interiors are a clear example of exquisite taste.

It is amazing to me how incredibly timeless the interiors are as well as some of the 80s and 90s runways depicted in this video… Very fashionable women would wear any of the things I saw on the runways today. The interiors look like the Maximalism that’s going on right this minute! Note to self…keep it classic and buy what you love and it will always be in style!❤

Incredible talent and human being. In the 1990s he commissioned my partner to create gloves and she was forever grateful for the opportunity.

Thank you Mr. DelaRenta for having a keen eye for talent and giving someone a chance...

They are all really amazing collages. It seems like it ought to be relatively easy with a limitless budget to simply buy beautiful things and then arrange them symetrically; but in reality it requires as with all these exquisite interiors something nuch more than taste and money. He was an artist.

Exquisite, classic, very refined taste. This man's eye was perfect. Homes, clothes, gardens, and his demeanor. All top of the line. A gentleman.

I'd be happy just owning the hurricane lamps with the amethyst glass shades. Although I think that the fireplace between the Fitton sisters portraits is magnificent.

That sofa is a testament to cruelty.

I enjoy your videos not just for the content but I find your narration very soothing.

another great tour Interesting how today people assume men are all gay if they are fashion designers but that wasn't the case back in the last century. Today I dont even think they would let you be a photographer in the field if you weren't gay.

I seem to remember he had a white garden in Republica Dominicana. Does anyone else?

PS: Love you elegant cultured chanel. You should take a look at the unparalleled Victoria Press. She had amazing taste and style and two of the most beautiful houses I have ever seen. One on Cheyne Walk in London and the other a Palazzo on the Grand Canal. They both featured in magazine articles and were dispersed after her death a few years ago.

I hope he paid his housekeeper and the cleaning crew well. That’s a lot of ‘stuff’ to clean and dust.

The couch with the numerous animal pelts is beyond appalling! Horrific. How oblivious to the suffering of those sentient beings .🐾🐾🐾
