The expansion of the Russian military has been officially approved. Putin wants to have 180,000 more soldiers around December. Which puts the total number of active military personnel of Russia to 1.5 million. The expansion of Russian military begins. Because right now there are big challenges of recruiting new volunteers. So, the probability of a new mobilization increased significantly. Though, this time it might be a 'quiet mobilization'. And it will be close to impossible to dodge the draft.

Even with a million more men, an army that is not properly trained, and not properly equipped is useless, apart from creating fertiliser.

Humankind has a long, sad, and painful history of Kings, and Emperors, Priest-Kings, Tyrants, Dictators, and "Nobility" not giving a crap about the people they govern. Russia, though, even today, seems to be determined to keep up an continue that long, sad, and painful story of human suffering!

I`ve got a question. Maybe many people dont know this, but large parts of Russian Federation doesnt have running water or sewage, let alone access to internet. How would someone who has no access to internet know they`ve been drafted?

DRADFT EVASION can lead to surprise benefits for the receiving nations. Canada wound up with many educated young men fleeing service in Vietnam.

No wonder the Ukrainian soil is so rich, they put so much fertiliser into it….

Giving young and old men a clean uniform and shiny boots is just window dressing. Unless they're put through at least 3 months of intense physical and classroom training, they'll just be more fodder. When sent to the front lines, they'll just be a burden for the existing vets, who will have to fight AND babysit the newbies. Putler is making the same dumb mistakes over and over again. He needs to quit.

How many disposable orc units does it take to -change a lightbulb- win a war?

"as long as the people of Russia allow it" this is indeed the key to ending the war (unless Putin is killed). I am amazed how millions of people allow dictators to run their brutal repression. How such regimes can hold n to their power for so long.

They have no choice, who in their right mind would fight and die for Putin? Amazing a 1 man can mess up a whole country, very sad😢

Im sure it wont be long till russia introduces stuff like the Kin punishment system found in North Korea. (3 to 8 generations of a family can be held accountable and punished for one persons crimes)

I wonder; if Ukraine offered people who surrendered the option of being released somewhere *other than Russia*, how many conscripts would surrender as soon as they possibly could?...

One million men in a green suit with a rusty rifle, doesn't make an army.

The more and more expensive soldier contracts will be paid by printing more and more money, making inflation worse and worse.

Said this would happen after hearing about that first draft attempt. 300k > 500k > 1M etc. etc. etc. You can never have enough soldiers when losing a war. Expect their troop numbers to rise exponentially untill they physically can't add any more numbers to their soldier pool.
