What impact will the artificial intelligence revolution have on our society, culture and economy? I honour this man just this side of idolatry, but we really need to come up with a different name and perspective from “the useless class”, for all sorts of fairly obvious psychological, emotional and social reasons. As long as the new economy uses some of the created wealth to provide a universal basic income - even though they will not contribute to this economy other than by consuming goods and services – and as long as we and/or the AIs have the sense and the brains to remove the idea of “benefits dependency” and concepts like extreme poverty and homelessness – then this new world of freedom and opportunity needs to have such a “class” re-branded. Imagine all those people who would love to have spent all their time playing the clarinet or drawing cathedrals or studying history or playing football or contributing to space exploration or climbing mountains, who were never able to do that because the pressures of “making a living” pushed it all away. This “useless” class will actually be free to learn and explore and contribute in entirely different ways from pushing paper in offices or working on assembly lines. They should be regarded as an enormous asset, psychologically and socially and artistically, something like “open-ended future creators” – not “useless”. We need to give them pride and possibility and education, not dismissal – even though I’m perfectly rational enough to understand that if you give millions of people freedom and opportunity, it will frequently be squandered on partying and computer games and drug overdoses. But – but! – for more people than ever, here will be opportunity, and society as a whole will benefit from the accomplishments of a minority – as it has for the last three hundred years, for example.

A reason why Artificial Intelligence is so important to be implemented into society for one because it is neutral. Another reason is that Artificial Intelligence can help summarize current events and ethical issues mainly produced by humans. Sofia the robot does this amazingly. One of the most important values of AI is innovating towards a neutral global future through the implementation of Artificial Intelligence.

I think an elaborate AGI has to adapt some kind of fatigue, the right to 'forget' stuff, bend opinions. And there will be some kind of internal democracy of modules, AGIs and viewpoints. There will be a big demand of (civil...non archaic) population control. BTW, Yuval Noah Harari what is the remaining meaning of life and what gives me motivation to spark this Future with my work?

The one thing humans may be better is in being humans. People will prefer to talk or to make sex with people, and escorts and prostitutes may flourish. The admiration for human performance will continue, and athletes, musical instrument players, and similar things can also flourish. The things people like is to watch is humans that run 100 meters in 9 seconds, go to Mars, or play a difficult musical piece for violin. Watching machines doing these things is not very fun.

In the future, probably We will take more dancing classes. These kind of things that make human more relaxed. The AI will free us from the labour, or the labor maybe will be a kind of relaxing activity. I think Yuval is part of the crew of the TV Serie BlackMirror.

Something doesn't add up. If so many people will be jobless, who is going to pay the taxes that keep the local, state and federal governments running? Our system has become dependant on taxation to exist. A basic income given to those displaced by technology only works if there is money coming into the government. No money, no one can pay their property tax and their house is taken away. Now you will have a massive jobless and homeless population. Anyone else think this through but me?
