Since I get asked this so often, today I’m going to share with you the specific compliments that men are dying to hear.

I’d also like to point out that complimenting a man is actually pretty important. Yet surprisingly, so many women choose to tell their lady friends the things they like about a man, rather than tell him to his face.

Being able to blatantly tell a guy what you like about him is crucial, and believe me, it’ll take you far with the guy you’re into. The moment you feel something about him, tell him! When you recognize the great qualities in him, let him know!

That said, let’s talk about the top six compliments that any man would love to hear.

1. You make me feel safe.

Telling a man that he makes you feel safe will definitely hit a hot spot for him. Since this kind of compliment plays on his strength and ability to protect you, it’s something he won’t take lightly. Why? Because it’s evolutionary.

Think back to the past; the stronger men were the ones who got to lead the tribe and who were seen as the most powerful. Because of this, they usually got the most sought after women, too. Telling a man that he makes you feel safe will make him feel like he’s scored big time getting you. Plus it’s one of those compliments that will stick with him and make him feel like he’s the hero he’s always wanted to be.

These are all fine if true, but they're rarely true in the eyes of a women, and therefore they're manipulative !!

They may be ways of showing you're interested ~ but genuine comment on character / outlook / skill is needed for a relationship to last !!

I like to be complemented genuinely for being consistently noble, being consistently forward looking, and consistently a compromise king ~ if you can't see these things in me or don't value them, you can go away !!

Hey Amy! I have a really good guy friend that I really like and he knows that I like him. He's told me that he likes me as well, but we haven't started a relationship or anything. The guy I like is going through some mental health issues and he's told me that he would want to start something with me, but that he wants to work on himself first, which I totally get being someone who also struggles with mental health. However, I know a lot about him that he's never told anyone and he knows things that I've never told anyone. If either of us are going are through something, we know we can talk to the other person and they'll always be there. What I'm trying to say is that I don't want to force him into a relationship but, at the same time, I'd really like to start something with him. I'm just not sure how to tell him this.
