S22 Ultra – 1 Week Later 🤯

One week later with the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. My experience with the camera, the every-day performance and battery-life, alongside 1 major issue that I've encountered.

I own the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the GS22 Ultra as my business phone. 3 things that have been an upgrade are the S Pen, fast charging, and new 5G modem. With the new modem I'm able to get a consistent 5G signal...even at home which was rare.

You are one of the only people who have reviewed the exynos and reported good battery life. All I am hearing and seeing is people slating the battery life on this phone.

Very strange. I had mine without a case for a week and it looks brand new. No scuffs anywhere.
It even fell to the floor once from sofa height and nothing happened.

Man, it only takes a few seconds of looking into the settings to see that auto brightness and extra brightness are options, so you really can't spend 20 seconds saying the iPhone 13 Pro Max has a higher brightness without taking a full deep dive into the 22 Ultra. Just saying, most people tend to hit the settings first thing.

The Ultra videos have been done to death; I would like to see a comprehensive video on regular S22 for us regular users

The Pixel 3 (I think?) was notorious for it's matte back picking up scuffs which turned out to be the glass acting like sandpaper to whatever it touched. Have you tried rinsing the marks on your phone to see if it was just shaving finishes off of other things?

I'm going from s20 ultra to s22 ultra and the difference is night and day. The s22 ultra is what the s20 ultra should have been

Personally, I have used an Otterbox Commuter on all seven of my previous Samsung smartphones. The only problem I've had was with my S20 Ultra 5G, which somehow managed to have it's camera lens cover cracked. Fortunately, the crack did not affect any of the lenses. On my S22 Ultra, I first installed a Commuter, but I didn't feel that it offered enough protection, so I installed a Defender Pro. I can't imagine having a smartphone at any price without protecting it with a case. Not only do the Otterbox cases protect my phones, they help me to hold on to and manipulate them. In the case of the S22 Ultra, it's $1400 block of glass and aluminum. If someone would make one that actually works, I'd attach a parachute to it.

Got the burgundy myself (Exynos 2200).
Coming from the Note 9 which I owned since November 2018.
Had the Note 4 before that for almost five years.
The Note 9 has all of it's plastic protective film still on, probably why it's still looks as new, will keep all of them on my S22 Ultra.
Only "hmm, what's this?" so far is that I experience that the S-pen on the S22 is a bit "sticky" when you pull it out and sticking it in again.
Battery wise, got 86% at the moment with ~ 70 minutes SOT .

Go to Advanced features —> Video brightness —> select “Bright” option. And then see how the video brightness will be.

For S22 series users! If you have experienced performance drop in games, this is due to GOS (Game Optimizing Service) app.
Currently in Korea, S22 series and tab S8 users are pretty damn mad about this.
This "GOS" throttles the device's CPU AND GPU performance whenever a game is detected.
GOS could be turned off manually before One UI 4.0 (Android 12), but now it is impossible.
GOS has been in Samsung phones for a long time, but especially in S22 and tab S8 series, GOS kicked in too much and resulted in very disappointing gaming experience, resulting in users' complaints.
We are hoping for Samsung's official reply.
Plz make this issue viral in other countries too so that Samsung can no longer decieve us consumers.

As beautiful as it is bare, I always get a case for my phones. I have ocd, and scratches on my phone will stress me out.
