In this video, we replace our AIS receiver with an AIS Transponder from Em-Trak. We went for the B923 model which features an inbuilt antenna splitter and it outputs AIS information on the NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 networks.

They also sell other units that support WiFi and 5w output for off-shore sailing. The unit is IPx6 & IPx7 rated, features very low power consumption, has the option to not transmit your position and has a quick install bracket.

How is the GPS reception of built in GPS antenna? Are there any GPS accuracy values shown in this configuration app? You don't want you're boat position to have an accuracy of a few hundred meters; a situation we all see with our mobile phones regularly when inside somewhere.
