Shes beautiful. I waitresses for 20 years in a 5⭐️restaurant while my husband worked his white collar career. I worked 30 hours a week, enjoyed my coworkers & patrons while he complained about colleagues being snakes & clients being entitled. When it came to pay sure he made more than I did but not by much. Our accountant (his brother) use to joke about the closing gap in our pays every year “Next year she’s going to out perform you! So much for our expensive degrees!”
People don’t realize the amount of hard work that goes into being a server. Don’t look down your nose at someone bc their job is different.

I had a gentleman leave me a $20 tip because I was depressed at the end of the day. I did a large party and they dined and dashed on me. I was chewed out for it and that made me feel absolutely pathetic. I didn’t realize I was sharing such information till it was too late after I was asked how I was doing. I cleaned up my act, apologized for such words and finished their dinner with the best service I could provide. When I was given the $20 I shook the man’s hand with a smile and tears in my eyes.

I used to be a chef and you don’t upset the people preparing or serving your food. A common trick is to get a plate as hot as you can without it cracking. Put it down just outside comfortable eating range, then tell the customer it’s hot. Invariably they have to touch it to see, even though they can feel the heat on their face. That's burn number one, number two comes a minute or so later when they forget and try moving the plate closer.

I told her it’s a great feeling to care for someone who’s family abandons them and I can always find work even though a pandemic 😷
