Chirping birds and typing machine sounds, yes such a natural environment lol. Loved what she did, it was unique and very inventive. Also, I think that the people who choose not to paint what they are asked to, are automatically eliminating themselves. Because, ultimately, they'll be commissioned to paint something very specific and if they can't demonstrate that versatility early in the competition, then they are setting they're setting themselves to null chances. But the gentleman who paint that dark forest was marvelous, love it a lot.

I love this show a ton. However, I disagree with the top 3. I think typewriting a landscape is an incredible feat, but I cannot imagine the client they're doing a commission for would want to pay 10, 000 pounds for it. I love the dark, monochrome painting in general, but I don't think it captured the scene at all. You wouldn't know what he was painting without being told. It could have been anywhere, including from his brain. However, the skill is obviously there!

Enjoying the show! Just got to mention that the first submission shown at 3:31, looks strangely very much like Edward Munich’s painting namely “separation”. Separation is my favourite painting because of the emotions it provokes.

Thanks for posting. Very interesting to see a few artists using very bright colours in this episode and the last two. This was from 2018, I wonder how often artists change their colour palette, in interior design and fashion you get an industry consensus on the colour trend for that year and there is a whole industry for colour forecasting.

The one I was least enjoying.... oh dear. We all have our different likes in regard to art. I do a lot of black and white drawings....and the call of colour has been loud - but I do keep on going back to black on white but if I could paint - from what I saw - it would be coloured - oh yes, coloured. Interesting - very much so.... loved the show.

They always have these gimmick-y artists in each series.

I personally would go with the Scottish guy who painted black monotone, the female painter from Checklovskdusveyzn (however her country's spelt), Andrew Holliday, and the guy who painted the hill blue.

The guy who combined 2 canvas into wide landscape, I so much enjoyed his submission.

Why do the judges always pick the worst ones?

I wish you would post the names of the artists

In the intro, the judges mentioned how they didn't want a "sweet" painting, but a gothic, moody painting. What if the atmosphere is naturally bright, sunny and sweet? I don't think any depth is lost from producing a "sweet" countryside painting.

I really need to know the name of the male artist who painted the very green castle and the multicoloured urban painting. His work was so good and hopefully he has an Instagram page. So so god.
