3 year old Oneplus6 is smoother than a 1 year old Samsung S20ultra. Oxygen os is a lot better. From a user perspective.

No OIS on a flagship in 2021 makes this phone a no go. Even last year's 8t, Nord and this year's A52 and A72 comes with OIS so no reason why this phone should omit it.

Oneplus phone don't lag overtime. I am using oneplus 6 for almost 3 years. The battery life still great, and the performance is top notch.

Kinda wish they made smaller 6 inch versions of these instead of just making all 6.55 inches. They can reach various markets with that the variation in sizes.

Thank you for talking how bad Oneplus in terms of software updates.
As a Oneplus 5 user, they left us with a buggy build. Oneplus 5 is the best device I've used so far but I'm not going to buy another Oneplus unless they start to handle software updates more seriously instead of spamming the market with bunch of mid-range phones

I don't get why companies as one plus and Samsung don't put OIS and use plastic on phones more expensive than 600$, that's why flagship midrangers have so much hype

Most of the "bad" things in this list are nit-picks or just plain non issues (like the 5G). Meanwhile, the author of the video completely ignores the more serious bad things about the phone like the lack of expandable storage or headphone jack. Both of those are absolute deal breakers to way more people than a plastic frame or not enough 5G bands.

I agree with the updates. Especially the last update that left my Oneplus partly unusable.

I just got my Oneplus 9 a few days ago and so far so good except that I cannot use my wired headphones to listen to YouTube or music for example. The sound only comes through the phone speaker and not the headphones at all. I called Oneplus and tech support had me go through some trouble shooting. Nothing that we tried to change in the settings worked. So i guess I'm going to have to get some wireless earbuds. Anyone else have this issue and know how to fix it?

I always wondered why in-screen fingerprint sensors were so high up? Back in the day, the non-screen sensors use to be in the bottom bezel, as per the iPhone SE, and the OP has put it closer to that. For me, that is the natural place and maybe OnePlus researched this and realised that is what customers want? For me, it is a pro, not a con!
I have a case so the frame quality is of zero interest.
5g works in most countries, and because some carrier in the US sucks that is not OP fault.
It will effectively get you three years of support, Android 11 to 13 and that covers around 75% of users lifespan before they upgrade, so for many, not a problem, though it may indeed get an extra year and this is an unknown?
The OP9 seems a much better choice than many including the main competitors, the s21 and Pixel 5, both getting superlative reviews from the US YT community. A great choice, especially outside the US, where it is much cheaper than these two alternatives.
