OnePlus 9 Pro Nine Months Later | Still good in 2022?

Re-reviewing the OnePlus 9 Pro in 2022, to see if this flagship smartphone is worth buying now the 10 Pro has officially launched. How much has the performance, camera tech, battery life and software experience improved on the OnePlus 9 Pro? Will we get a stable Oxygen OS 12 update any time soon?? Here's my long term thoughts and stay tuned for an unboxing of the new premium handset.

I already liked this blower last year, but at £829 in 2022, Google's Pixel 6 phones are a more tempting offering. However, that price may be slashed soon with the launch of the OnePlus 10 Pro, and some aspects of this mobile have improved.

The camera results are similar to before, offering respectable photo and video returns in most conditions. Yes, the Pixels work better in tougher scenarios, but this'll do the job for most users.

Gaming performance and battery life seem to have improved over time, which is great to see. However, the latest Oxygen OS 12 update was pulled in the end due to many bugs, so we're still waiting on the latest OnePlus 9 Pro software.

Got one for my wife about a month back and she absolutely loves the phone! The charging speeds, the display and speakers are all top notch! She says the camera is quite dependable for her use case too... Yet to get OOS12 update though...

I love mine, got it for £630 on black Friday. Was even cheaper in boxing day sales. Battery seems to be better than first few weeks and always have spare at bed time. Obviously the charging speed is awesome too. Cameras are pretty good too, especially the wide angle which suits me as I'm a builder and it's good for taking pictures of my work.

I have a OnePlus 5 since June 2017. Actually it still works fine, but I wanted an upgrade and two weeks ago I bought the Google Pixel 6 Pro. I didn't like the Pixel 6 Pro at all, so after some days I returned it to the shop. Instead I bought the OnePlus 9 Pro. I'm very happy with it! Great phone, great camera, great everything! The operation is very easy, especially the camera operation. The camera is better than from the Pixel 6 Pro. Pixel 6 Pro photos looked very HDR-like, which I didn't like at all. OnePlus 9 Pro photo's look more natural and balanced. Glad to be back with OnePlus after a short trip to the Pixel 6 Pro.

I've been using OnePlus phones for years. Been using a 7T, which still works just fine. Honestly, I'm worried about OP getting worse software-wise, with the half-baked updates and corporate mergers.

I have the sister product i.e. the Oppo Find X3 Pro and I am very happy with it. I very nearly got the Oneplus 9. But I was not able to get it on EE at the time. Both great phones and when my contract comes up next year I will def be looking at the OnePlus 11 Pro when that is out ;)

Have been using OnePlus 3 since 2016, It still is amazing working very great. The phone is the best; dropped my phone multiple times at great heights and to my surprise nothing happened, not even a screen crack. It's a cool rugged phone. Now looking for an upgrade and thinking which one should I go for.

great video as always! did notice that the brightness level seemed very low for B-roll shots of the device display? assume this was the pants auto brightness that OnePlus use! i always turn my Oppo and Oneplus devices to manual mode for brightness as the sensors are pish for measuring ambient light.

I was waiting for the 10 pro to upgrade from my 8t plus 5g, however I was disappointed with the storage and RAM, so I bought the 9 pro from T- mobile on a deal. So far so good, looks great and performs great, however the DAC on the 8t seems to be more powerful when it comes to plugging in headphones, not bad though. Overall I'm loving the display, smoothness and the media factor of this device, it's a go.

I've been using my OP6 for 2½ years now. I've never had an phone this long before!
I love it and i dont want to change phone but now my 2nd sim card slot have stopped working and i need it in my job. I fixed the screen 3 times though but its so cheap to repair!
I consider buying this one now next! I wish i will be as happy as i am with my OP6.
