BMW X1 and iX1 can be equipped with Driving Assistant Plus. This camera- and radarbased system includes the Steering and Lane Control Assistant as well as Active Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop&Go function, which can both be used at speeds up to 210 km/h (130 mph). Corrective steering inputs help the driver to keep the vehicle in the lane detected by the system.

On motorways, the Steering and Lane Control Assistant in BMW X1 & iX1 can also help the driver to guide the car in situations where the lane narrows. The Active Navigation function detects when the vehicle needs to change lane in order to take a motorway exit and keep to the calculated route, and sets up the lane change. The system also features the Lane Keeping Assistant with active side collision protection. In Germany, traffic light recognition is also available when Active Cruise Control (ACC) is in use.

The automatic Speed Limit Assist for BMW X1 and BMW iX1 and route monitoring functions available when using Active Cruise Control add to the car’s Level 2 automated driving capabilities, as defined by SAE international standard J3016. Speed limits along the route detected either by the Speed Limit Info system or by using data from the navigation system can be anticipated in advance with the help of automatic Speed Limit Assist. Meanwhile, the route monitoring function also looks ahead to reduce the car’s speed as appropriate when approaching a corner, a roundabout, a junction or an exit.

All these systems works in the same way in BMW X2 and BMW iX2.

How ever good the system is, I certainly would never take my hands completely off the wheel. In fact in the UK, where I am, I'm pretty sure that's illegal.

Great reviews and details, but I have a suggestion for you - maybe you have noticed that when there is no car in front at all, but as you drive you see a car completely stopped, for example a car waiting for traffic light, the car needs a lot more time to detect that car and start braking? If the same scenario happens but instead the car is moving, just slightly, it picks up that car much quicker and from further away, hence applying brake action in much smoother approach. Idea is maybe you can pay attention to this detail too, as I'm confident this happens at least with Audi Q8.

To samo w Oplu Astra GSe. InteliDrive 2.0 (chyba tak nazywa się) śmiało można jechać nawet 300km bez bólu głowy. Jedyna różnica to trzeba kierownicę lekko dotknąć, ale już ustawiłem na maksymalną czułość. Niestety zachowany odstęp wykorzystują debile, ale im wystawiam kwity zwykle jak nazbiera się kilku. Pipy płaczą i płacą (500-2000 cebulionów) 🤩

Czy to jest prezentacja opcji "Systemy asystujące kierowcy Professional"? Pytam, bo właśnie zamówiłem serię 3 z tą opcją i bardzo mi zależało dokładnie na tym, co prezentuje film, ale w internecie są sprzeczne informacje, że np. Traffic Jam Assistant nie działa w Polsce. Zakładając, że stoję w korku na autostradzie. Ruch w schemacie 2 minuty stoję, 30 sekund toczenia o kilkadziesiąt - kilkaset metrów i znowu postój - czy w takiej sytuacji ten system (Systemy asystujące kierowcy Professional) przejmie kontrolę nad autem i będzie za mnie prowadził samochód w takim korku?

Cześć. Jak Ci się udało osiągnąć automatyczne ruszanie po zatrzymaniu r korku? W moim X5 z systemem iDrive 8.5 auto jest samo w stanie ruszyć tylko po kilku sekundach od zatrzymania. Potem ustawiony limit prędkości na tempomacie zmienia się na szary z zielonego i przy ruszaniu samochodu przede mną auto prosi o potwierdzenie ruszenia pedałem przyspieszenia 😢
