A little Tesla coil kit.

Very easy to assemble (no secondary coil to wind, it’s pre-wound), and at the voltages used safe.

I could light up neon lights with it and draw an arc manually, but was not able to get a free-standing arc. May be related the the high humidity where I live.

But fun. I think I’ll find a few more Tesla coil kits and mess with them

I got recently the similar tesla coil kit as well, is not that great and needs some modifications, i would add a diode to the aux port so in case the transistors broke to not deliver current through the auxiliary cable to my phone or any audio amplifier, that J3 on the board is to add a small 5-12V fan for the radiators of the transistors because they get very hot.

Always freaks me out when I don't know if center positive is right or wrong and if it's wrong, will my work burn up before I can unplug it?
