Pakistan rocked by overnight protests following assassination attempt on Imran Khan

Protests erupted in several parts of Pakistan after former PM Imran Khan was shot at during a rally in Wazirabad. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party members took to the streets and held sit-in protests against the attack on their leader. Khan’s supporters also gathered outside the Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore where he is getting treatment. People chanted slogans in support of Khan, brought flowers and cards for the former cricketer. The agitators blocked roads and burnt tyres protesting the ‘assassination attempt’ on Khan. The 70-year-old was shot in the shin during Haqeeqi March on Nov 03. However, Khan is in stable condition and out of danger
