Glad that you’ve switched. It can be scary not knowing what will work. Anti-perspirants also cause the underarms to produce a strain of bacteria that is smellier than our natural underarm bacteria. I have a strong natural scent (for a woman) so regular deodorants always failed me without multiple showers in the Summer, lol! Most highly -fragranced commercial products like Secret, Dial and Summer’s Eve also made me smell WORSE. Even natural products with too many essential oils had the same effect. I’ve been using natural deodorants off and on for 9 years and the ones that work the best for me have the fewest ingredients. Thai Crystal rock and Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal roll-on work the best for me. They have no extra essentials oils like Schmidt’s, which worked for one day, then left me with odor every day after. I also cleanse my underarms with Dr. Bronner’s Tea Tree or Peppermint Castille soap and use a dye-free, lightly fragranced gentle body wash from Method. I use a fragrance-free feminine cleanser from Honey-Pot. I use a natural perfume oil in my body lotion called “white musk.” I now have very little underarm odor at the end of the day and re-wash/re-apply crystal deodorant before bed if necessary. I also get compliments on how good I smell when I reach to hug people :-) Hopefully this is helpful to anyone like me, who has a naturally strong scent and/or your body ph gets thrown off by fragrances/essential oils.

So awesome for you! I've been using Schmidt's for some years now and I am going back to antiperspirants. The switch definitely contributed to my general well-being. My girls are 9 and 13 and they use it as well and when my son is old enough I plan to introduce natural deodorants for him too. But he's 2 so he still smells nice even when he's sweaty. :-) From the research I have done, antiperspirants will mess up your hormone balance. I definitely don't want that for myself or my children. Sweat also detoxifies your lymphatic nodes which are by the armpit, you can also use clay masks on your pits to assist in detoxing. Etsy is great for natural and organic deodorants, you can also google D.I.Y. Recipes to make your own. Baking soda is a common ingredient but it’s known to sometimes cause irritation rashes that may look brutal but WILL heal - if that happens you can use cornstarch in its place. Some people ONLY use essential oils for deodorant and it works fab. Test and trials folks

I never leave comments on videos, but I definitely wanted to leave a comment back on this specific video. Firstly and foremost you are such a sweet and beautiful person, and this video is such an educational, informative video that is made properly effort into. Not only did I walk away with more knowledge, but also did you change my mind about deodorants I use and addressed issues that I deal with (etc. bumps under armpits). Keep doing what you do, you do it the best!

I just switched to natural deodorant because I'm concerned about talc in my products. The first one I grabbed was a Schmidt one, and I'm pretty happy with it.

For years I would be on the search for an aluminum free deodorant😂but nothing worked like my chemical dove deodorant! I have a drawer full of like 20-30 natural aluminum free deodorants. I ended up having a really bad allergic reaction to my "chemical" dove deodorant and had to completely stop using it. Out of desperation oneday I used my daughters Weleda diaper cream and to my surprise it actually worked! I'm very picky about the products I use on my babies skin and Weleda diaper rash cream is amazing. It's made in Germany and has all nontoxic ingredients, who knew it would actually work as a deodorant? I guess it's the non nano sized zinc and essential oils that are in the product. For those of you who have tired everything with no luck, try weleda diaper cream! I buy it on Amazon and a pea size amount works great for me. I hope this helps someone inshaaAllah ❤
