To people that do have Illustrator when exporting to SVG a window will popup and you'll have the option to show code.
Copy the code and paste it in Figma then remove the frame and group it.

Easiest way: Open Ai, select what you need, export as SVG, drag to figma...

For all who say XD is not free. You right with the cloud version. But Adobe have the Version 13 of this programm you free to install. You have 2 limitations. 1th only 2 GB Cloud Storage and only 1 activ Share of a Prototyp. But thats not blocking this feature.

Figma is quite limited on importing file format. This feature from XD is amazing.

Why not just save the file as SVG in illustrator and drag and drop into Figma? It works perfectly.
