This is not how he told the story, it’s cut differently.

Context:
Jeremy is usually very good at explaining business concepts. But in this case he was having trouble for an hour and a half with a different investor.

Ben is usually bad at explaining these concepts because he is too fast and smart for other people. So drawing these things on a napkin was his attempt at dumbing a concept down and it worked which is why it’s so funny.

That party agreed to work with Ben but decided to not take on Jeremy. Ben said “no thanks” and walked because he wanted Jeremy, they were already a good team at that point.

They went to other investors with the same plan drawn out (but it wasn’t on a napkin) and the one who gave them the 4.8 was the one who asked him “why you”

He said he was the best because dude had been writing 10 books a year for other people, doing talks for tens of thousands of dollars, and investing in business structure very quickly.

Ben literally turned down being a lawyer because they couldn’t keep him busy enough and he was bored.
