The Carrington Event, a powerful solar storm in 1859, wrought havoc on the telegraph systems. If a similar storm happened today, it would cause widespread devastation, knock out the electrical grid, and cost trillions of dollars in damage. Entrepreneur and CEO Kelly Larson talks about how she and her team are working to create the first deep-space communication network so that we can better predict when the next solar flare will occur.

Kelly Larson is an innovator at the intersection of business and science. She is widely known for her innovative approaches to business and currently specializes in aerospace market-ready development strategies and distribution alliances, with an emphasis in collaborative international partnerships and high-level entrepreneurial ventures. Kelly is currently the CEO of Aquarian Devices, working with a team to build the first high speed, high capacity, secure data network for the solar system. The company's deep space communications network technology takes current communications capacity and leaps the aerospace industry forward to allow for exponentially more data and communication, helping humanity take our long-awaited leap further into space frontiers.

For the love of God, can someone tell me the purpose of this talk. This women is a nut case. can't believe I wasted time watching this, I was supposed to watch the Simpsons. She's talking about harnessing solar flares. She should be more concerned of the sun destroying the earth.
