Acura Integra DC2 Type R | Best of the Best

On the heels of the new 2023 Acura Integra, we tell the story of the DC2 Integra Type R and why it is relevant today. With how difficult and expensive these cars are to locate in good condition, we question why people are paying so much money for them. There are more expensive cars that have a similar mystique like the Lexus LFA and Porsche Carrera GT, however this car was always obtainable.

Holy s**** Mark, this video is insane! Honda better start cutting you a check for what kind of a love story you just made for their brand! This is a documentary level video here. THANK YOU!

The production value and level of effort and beauty this exudes is second to none.

This is large budget documentary production that rivals and even supercedes work from sources like BBC and Hagerty.

Absolutely stunning.

After that failure of a reveal by Acura today, the old ITR is going to double in value again.

What's so amusing about Mark driving this car on the track is that he's been more speechless than in any other car he's driven. It's kind of like this modded Type R saying: "Just shut up and drive. I'll do the talking!"

Your true passion came through on this one.

I remember being 17 years old and sitting in a brand new white 97 at Acura of Scottsdale and wondering which nut I could live without.

The biggest revelation of this video is that I just found out Jack is only 27 years old. I am 34 and I was certain I was watching an elder.

As a mechanical engineer, I could tell you that this is the best car review I’ve ever seen. One of my pet peeves is when people use acronyms/initialisms jargon to describe technical matter. Your descriptions were second to none. Well done guys.

I have owned my Integra Type R since new and I am about to give it another oil change at 310, 000Kms. My outlay in those 22 years has been less than $10, 000, which includes 5 sets of tyres, 3rd clutch, 3 distributors, one only set of disc pads and one radiator. The motor is untouched, yet I rev it to 9, 000 rpm every day. I recently fitted a sports air filter and added some special German fuel additive, resulting in a noticeable improvement in torque and acceleration by as much as 10%. The feeling of exhilaration when I drive this car is just pure pleasure and even though I have the money to buy a new hot hatch, I really have no interest in parting with this car. The Honda Integra Type R is special and is the last of the true performance naturally aspirated engines.

I know that you guys have things going on the back end that probably tie you in with all the million porsches and bmws but I feel like your core audience is a full fledged adult, a more mature audience who truly will appreciate a blast from the past like these.

PLEASE DO MORE LIKE THIS

This was, far and away, not only one of the best Savage Geese videos to date, its one of the best car videos produced for YouTube. You guys keep upping the bar and I'm personally floored by the craftsmanship and skill you put into not only editing, but driving cars in your love-letters to them and driving in general.

The most criminally underrated car channel on youtube, ladies and gentlemen

never has a video about cars makes me tear up when i listen to the engine screaming and the car moving. it has such a strong soul and spirit i can feel it through the screen, i can feel it in my ears, my head, my body. i subconsciously started moving my foot to step on the gas pedal a bit harder when watching this. i currently own and drive a Honda integra DB6 with a 1.6L ZC auto and while its fun to drive its soul feels a bit faded and weak compared to its bigger brother. i still am currently trying to get my hands on a 98 spec R integra and should be able to get one in the next year if nothing slows me down in the next 8 months. i will use this video as a motivator to my current goal

Weird how this video made me a bit emotional, especially the end. The younger generation will never know the nostalgia and how much we reminiscence of the good 'ol days. We grew up in an era that evolved too fast, and all the great simple things disappeared too quickly. Thanks for this amazing video.

P.S. Acura, this is how you advertise a car. Not by mimicking Nike's marketing catalog.

Liked before I even finished the video. That VTEC never hit so hard.

As much as I love this channel, this is the first video I've ever felt compelled to comment on. This is an absolute masterpiece. It should be shown in schools to show up and coming videographers how to use audio, visuals, and a great storyline to evoke emotion. Simply put, this is a masterclass in storytelling, and I'll keep watching every mommy SUV with a CVT review to keep supporting videos like this. #WheresThePianoBlack
