I am so excited for this video Alessia, as you well know I HATE playing against 1d4 but because i have so many other problems in my chess that need attention we have never really gotten to work on the 1d4 thing. I am so grateful for all you do to help all of us lowly chess amateurs out here needing this knowledge. Also very well presented and great all around video. 😀

Every video that pops up from Alessia on my notifications is an instant watch, that shows how great your videos are!
I am learning a ton of chess because of you so thanks <3

you play beautiful chess! I'm stuck with how well you communicate your analysis in real-time during the games. feels like a valuable learning resource

I recently finally got my goal of 1000 Rapid rating. Now my favorite opening choices are a course for Black 1... e6 vs everything, where 2.. d5 is often the second move; and 1. d4 as White with a nice flexible start where I often play c4 and or e3. I found this resulted in much less annoying early threats for me to calculate against. So the opening tends to be a much more comfortable solid positional style for me. Though I do plan to mix things up before too long, with some stretch into more tactical waters again.

Yeah, that's what I do. Usually as Black, my Queen's Gambit games turn into either the Orthodox Defense or Nimzo Indian or Queen's Indian. Also, I like the Benko Gambit too. If I have an opponent that plays Catalan style to prevent the Nimzo, then I go for the Queen's Indian.

13:40 her opponent should have taken the knight with the queen and Alessia was lost.

White's objective is to form the en potence at once and afterward to establish the grand left oblique, while the minor crochet covers the right wing against the adverse major front echelon. The minor left oblique refused is inferior to all strategic fronts directed either by the right or by the left or by the right refused..
