Clicking on this video looking for an actual response to d4, seeing it's the Englund gambit😢. Lol the Englund is actually pretty effective at low elo but once you start encountering players who know what you're doing, the Englund leaves you in a pretty bad position

If you take the "free" bishop 1... Nc3 Qxf4 white can fork black by playing 2. Nd5 attacking the queen, also defending (Qb4+), whatever black does they either lose the queen or allow 3. Nc7+ forking the rook and the king

I always play the dutch in that situation

Do not play the Englund Gambit, I am telling you yesterday a 677 elo crushed me he defended the pawn with the pawn not the bishop and i had a losing position

I wish we had someone like Bobby Fischer in our modern times to hype people up about chess. Most people still think it’s only for nerds.

You will lose in 6 seconds or less 99% of the time when you play the Englund gambit.

I would play Lazard gambit here. I also call it counter LSG (london system gambit).

Thats actually NOT how you wanna play the englund gambit. If ur opponent knows the line ur basically much worse.

Anyone who plays d4 and is above 1500 knows all variations of englund gambit 20 moves down the line so good luck.
