For all two Taliyah mains out there, fun tip that relates to the first point: The damage cooldown on her wall resets when you level it up, so if you hit an 6 11 or 18 when you think you might need an escape, don't level it until you think you need it after taking damage. When you do, quickly level it up, reset cooldown, and then wall out of there

There's one more thing you can do with that explanation from 5:45 that you can add. Assuming you are fighting enemies with decent map awareness, you can always do the following; walk up the same path, ward that same bush, and recall in there (or after when you saw that blue was up). This alone should cause the enemy top laner to drop pressure and you can recall with less losses.

hector is the oly reason i reached high elo (grandmaster 600~LP) his concept of postive play made sense to me over the years as a big boomer (34 hah not realy) player im not in my halo 2 days anymore but macro play and simple choices did wonders for me as gaming is casual for me now days. a filthy casual outranks 99.9% of the players on my fav game jsut becuz i took the time to listen to this man (and mcbaze youtube) cant state enough you will never been perfect but i promise this shit works.

For the Syndra example it would seem to me the real mistake is even pushing the tower at all, after initial wave shove I'd just insta back, get items, arrive to catch next wave and be smooth sailing

I wanna talk about this first point actually.

Way back when, unless you were a champion who was super reliant on comboing all 3 abilities (Leblanc, Zed and old Talon come to mind), it was very common to put a second point into your Q or whatever your "main" ability was at level 3. I have no clue when this actually changed to become mainstream to take all 3 abilities at level 3, but efficiency wise it definitely makes more sense to take your worst ability when you can't skill up your best ability.

I think it's something to do with mid level 3 being around the point that scuttles spawn, and having all 3 abilities usually gives you better skirmish/all-in strength even though it hurts your mana economy in lane.

There's also the whole auto-piloting thing. Since the level-up advisor or w/e tends to always suggest you take your 3rd skill at level 3, players just see the glowy button and do that instead of thinking about it.

this "he will be there in 2 sec" is sooo true. if u play enough you can even steal objetives without vision like "and they will finish the dragon/baron in 3 2 1"

Tip number 1 works for range mage champs except when you are playing Brand. You are not a champion with Brand until you unlock all 3 abilities he can do.

Knowing roughly 95% of this and still being stuck in bronze is depressing. Guess I need to stop being an OTP lux. Just played a game and went 24-6 and it was still hard to carry my team with her.

I think ur right with a lot of these decisions to just always push waves before making play to save ur lane,
My only concerns are that sometimes its a team mental concern,
The amount of times I’m pushed in/opposing midlaner roams, in both cases I clear wave and follow then get pinged to shit by team because I’m ‘farming lane’ instead of following roam is insane at my rank.
I know its nuanced from case to case but often I get inted and flamed less from having improper macro, even if it’s just because my team doesn’t understand midlane

I played mid yesterday (plat) and it was really lategame like 45 min into the game. we got an ace with 3 people alive top, adc and jungle (not low). Right outside their base with the wave pushing, enemy had no third rower only inhibitor and 2 basetowers. What would you do? It is 30-40 sec left on everyone before respawn.
What should have happened: Just continue and end the game quick and easy.
What really happened: My Top duo tried ending but óur Adc and jungler did a 180 and went for Dragon completly throwing our chance to win, meanwhile our top got inhibitor and 1.5 base tower on his own (it's not like we wouldnt have time to end witch adc help).
AND THEN THE AUDACITY: They flamed us in chat saying "we were stupid, gl climbing" and "it was a clear dragon call"

For the last Azir case, wasn't a slowpush also a possibility in order to get the gold needed by getting a second wave and crashing it forcing the Qiyana to farm under turret and just recall safely ?

Important thing to mention is Seraphine's W, as useless as it is, is pretty important to get lvl 3 so you can stack echo to go for better trades.

Her W is still dogshit tho.

3:00 is so wrong. Waves spawn every second you have also have to account the time you need to clear that second wave so its more like 40 or 50 seconds being down with you utility spell.
