So sad to see what football daily has become, it’s difficult to even watch this and I mean that as no insult to Dougie or Michael because they are both fantastic lads. No EFD, no Stat wars, half of the presenters have left and the channel has been stripped of all creativity and eaten up by sky. So sad to see a staple of my teen years gone.

Can't see Italy flopping in the group, Spalletti is a fantastic coach and they'll find a way through, especially with the four 3rd spots available. Once the Azzurri are in the knockouts you can never count them out, too many people are sleeping on the literal defending champions!

I would love England to win the Euros, and while we have some excellent attacking players, our defence is no where near good enough. The only reason England are the bookies favourites is because they know thousands of patriotic England fans will be half pissed during the tournament and bet on England!

I would put us behind France, Portugal and Germany and on par with Spain, Belgium and Croatia.

Konate at best is a much better defender than Saliba, he doesn't get enough credit really but is not the most consistent. Konate at worst, yeah, fair point.

As a german saying this hurts even more but I wouldn't be surprised if Austria gets very VERY far in this tournament. Combining Rangnick and all the RB players, I haven't ever seen a national team pulling off this kind of counterpressing. And the other teams just won't be used to play against something like that, cause that's usually a playstyle you can't pull off with such little amount of training.

"The Netherlands have flop potential for underperforming on tournaments." Thats a load of BS. They got 2nd, 3rd and losing to the world cup winners after extra time in the quarter final in the last 4 world cups... how is that underpeforming on a tournament for a country of 17mil people?

England meanwhile states that 'it is coming home' for as long as i have been alive, we all know how that went.

The dutch do not expect much, they overperform expectations of dutch fans the past tournaments.

The rest of the arguments are just vague in my opinion.

Dutch will win the euros. 22 to 1 is an absolute bargain in the outright markets. Ok sure, they may have only beat Iceland and Canada 4-0, 4-0, in subsequent friendly's, but their defensive shape and game plan without the ball was admirable. They way Dutch directed the oppo's to play the ball to the each sideline, with 4-3-2-1, made them lose all sharpness.

Also impressed with how well the strikers bought in to their role as controllers of the opposition build up play, and how diligently they stayed below the ball. Sometimes a player like Depay may look slightly lazy when they don't have possession, but there was none of that against Iceland.
