The Netherlands are not finishing 3rd in that group. I'd say they're 5th favourites for the tournament itself and will only finish 2nd in that group because there's France there. The Netherlands are in form, their midfield is seriously good after a long time with players like Schouten, Veerman, Reijinders, and Koopmeiners, and with the likes of Gravenberch and Wijnaldum complementing them (even with injury issues for Wieffer and Frenkie de Jong. They have a top-class defense with Van Dijk, and the likes of De Ligt, De Vrij, Ake and Van de Ven complementing. They have a decent GK in Verbruggen after a long time. There are question marks about their attack, but Memphis has been good for them overall, and then there's the emergence of Xavi Simons, with Gakpo and Malen as options as well. Frimpong has had an excellent season as well. I think they'll go a long way.

You're right about the lack of balance for England, though. I personally think their squad is about on par with Germany, and behind France, Portugal, and maybe even Spain.

Belgium's defense has been a problem ever since Kompany retired, he was a really great organizer and leader. Honestly, we have a lot of exciting attacking talent so I can see us scoring 2 or 3 in each one of those early games to get us through to the quarters. There's no expectation from Belgians to win the tournament, so maybe that will free up the players to just play ball and maybe surprise some neutrals.
