Old Academy Platonism

After Plato’s death, the school he established – the Academy – continued to develop upon the esoteric cosmological and metaphysical ideas that he developed as part of his untaught doctrines. The concepts developed by these thinkers, called the Old Academy, were important both for later Platonism, but also Stoicism.
