Seamus & Damon together are great - the dynamic is unlike most other pairings. They tend to take a very dry, sarcastic turn in working off each other, often getting a little dark. But they just run with it, always good for a laugh

An Almond farmer once told me that when they're on the tree they're Almonds. When they harvest them, they're "Amonds"(just for pronunciation) because to harvest them from the trees, they shake the "L" out of them.

When I was stationed in Korea, I ate these all the time. That is until a lady told me they were to help kids poop. I don't think they are for digestive issues but more of a reward for the kids when they go poop.

I really like how Damon is always thinking of how he can help his friends, for example when those friends are stuck beneath a drain and you need to feed them. Most folks would keep their Pockys to themselves but not the D-Man. He'd slip his last Pocky right through that grate for ya. NICE!

Artificial banana flavor comes from an ester called isoamyl acetate. This ester is found in bananas, apples, peaches, and many other foods. It's only one of the chemicals that give bananas their fragrance and flavor, so when used as an artificial flavor it gives a sort of oversimplified banana taste. Oddly, bees also use isoamyl acetate as a pheromone, so when one of them stings, it provokes other bees to sting as well.

Pocky was the luxury treat of my childhood. I will say the the "deluxe" flavours like almond and strawberry are noticeably better tasting.

To settle the debate, Pocky is pronounced with a short o and rhymes with rocky. The name comes from Japanese onomatopoeia. To them, the sound of a breadstick snapping is "pock!".
There's a companion product, also by Glico, called Pretz. It's the same breadsticks but with savory flavor coatings like pizza.

The banana we have commercially available now is called the Cavendish. The candy banana flavor is based off the Gross Michael or Big Mike banana and it's still available just not at the commercial level. They're quite expensive at $20-$40 a lb.
