Hi Francois: I transcribed a number of pieces from the 'Round Midnight Album (circa 1972) when I was 26 (Going to Laugh You Out of My Life, Blues in the Night, Streetcar Named Desire, etc.) almost 50(I) years ago, Looked up "My One and Only ... just to refresh the melody in my head, and saw Sonny Rollins, Trane, and Jim Hall's versions (the lattermost also who I've transcribed numerous times) and saw Kenny Burrell's name, and then your wonderful efforts. Bravo! Of course there is no substitute for one's self doing the transcribing (for exceptional growth in ET as you well know : ] ), but when one is in a pinch (or lazy) it sure saves time. To this day have always loved Mr. Burrell's Blues content in all he does, his re-harmonizations and voicings (along with Mr. Hall's). Here he is again 50 years after my initial introduction to him and he still makes time stand still and takes us into other galaxies with this lovely standard. Thank you Francois for your craft, ear, and time consuming hard work; we are in your debt. Happy 2023 from NY.
