We simply bought new units after a certain amount of time, but I like the suggestion of retesting after a drop, something that does happen in the field or in the back of the rig. I see that the test range is higher than normal, but just thinking out loud, would it not be better to make it lower, which is more of an evidentiary find that the system is working. I guess I am thinking out loud as we always (ok, quite a bit) see patients with high glucose, so if the test solution range is already high, I'm not sure how that ensures the system is working. Just my thoughts. Thank you for the video as I honestly never used the test solutions before.

My only criticism is that you touched the contact bar / absorbent hole side of the test strip with your fingers. The first time I used the test solution, I got a reading of 150 and thought, "this can't be right". This video answered my concerns.

Do you need to then take it out of that control mode before powering off?
Or will it automatically go back to the collect blood screen?

To piggy back on anothers question. I can't seem to find the control solution sold separately specifically for Metene. Not even the Metene website shows it separately.
Can I use a generic low and high solution? Thanks.

Hi use tested and was normal, what happens if your reading and was 300 with the solution?

Mine read 165, it's within range, but my glucose test on other brand test kit, Metene always has +20 readings, which puts me in pre-diabetic class.
Which one do i trust 🤔

but thats technically a HIGH reading right? just "normal" for the solution? If the control test was 130 and the patient test was 139.. is it accurate?
