I have been to Italy twice. I much prefer it to the UK although I have only been to Belfast but the rest of UK should not be that different. I recently visited Peschiera del Garda and Treviso. I liked the chill atmosphere and amazing food. People were also quite friendly. Everyone would say 'grazie' when you leave a shop, restaurant etc even though you have not bought anything from the shop or have just had coffee at the restaurant without ordering any food. In southern Italy it was a bit different but I still enjoyed it. Cheers!
