the thing with Jagged Little Pill, is that it was nothing like we heard before... it went off on a tangent from the main stream and what we heard daily on the it was damn good !! so it was the perfect storm to become very rarely repeated ! and music history would simply not be the same without this album!!!

When that album came out in the 90s it was revolutionary nothing sounded like it at the time

I appreciated hearing that lots of artists don't know which song is the one that's going to hit.

Being Canadian, I remember pop star Alanis so when You Outta Know came out I was confused and thought is this the same "Never Too Hot" Alanis? Anyway congrats to her for following her gut and being authentic, it's definitely served her well.

Listen, I was a career soldier in my 30s when Jagged Little Pill came out and I immediately fell in love with it. So if it connected with me, the diehard Rolling Stones fan, then you know why it sold so well. I was not the typical demographic for music like this, but it’s loaded with great songs. In the 1990s the music industry was blessed with so many great female singer/songwriters like Alanis, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Sheryl Crow, Liz Phair, Ani Difranco, Jewel and Sarah McLaughlin to name a few. Don’t get me wrong, I love my rock bands, but women can write and sing on a very intimate level that most men don’t. I know that’s a stereotypical generalization but it’s just my opinion so don’t beat me up about it. As far as Ironic not being ironic all I have to say is it’s a pop song not an English essay.

jagged has those middle school mid 90s feel all the time for me. Alternative music was at its peak! Hip hop also! Good times. Gonna see her finally August 2021! Can’t wait

What's Ironic, is that she didn't think Ironic would be Iconic.

So many great songs from that Album

Ironic was one of my favorites from jagged little pill and "You ought to know"

Her determination to follow her own truth even when everyone around her was telling her not to is so inspiring. And it was thrilling to hear a shoutout to those first albums, which are such fun to listen to on gloomy days!

Jagged Little Pill and Tragic Kingdom are the two album from the 90s I bring up all the time. Both albums I was able to listen to from top to bottom. Most albums will have 1 or 2 duds, but not these two, every song is really good
