Disclaimer: This best of list is made to personal preferences and my thought on the guitars. This description features an honest and on spot review. I owned and played all of the listed instruments and I am not endorsed or paid by any of those manufactures. Even having my name on a Hapas Model does not mean I get it for free… Just want to pass my knowledge.

Hapas Guitars – Kayzer One: Flawless custom built for an absolute steal of a price. There is no way to go wrong with Hapas especially at his low price point.

KxK – Sii7: Flawless builts, ultra slim neck profiles make KxK guitars always my favourites for anything metal. String Tension for low tunings is unbelievable even on 25.5 scale models… I can go to Drop G without a problem.

Teuffel – Tesla 8 : The best and most resonant guitar I have ever played. Built beyond perfect. Only the high price of Teuffel Gutiars is very hard to stomach

ESP – Stephen Carpenter: One of my favourite ESP Guitars ever built. Very Aggressive Sounding, High String Tension and and absolute flawless built. Only downside is the not recessed TOM on an Archtop Body which makes it hard to play for the right hand cause it sits very high. (at least for my taste)

Guerilla - MSR7: A flawlessly built guitar with a very brutal tone. The guitar is built like tank. For my taste the guitar was a bit too heavy and the 25.5 scale was lacking string tension for Drop tunings.

Ibanez – RG2228: Best price performance on 8 String guitars when it comes to quality and sound. period.

Bernie Rico – Jekyll 727: A fantastic guitar, unbelievable heavy sounds but unfortunately the Kahler was not mounted 100% correctly resulting in a lack of string tension and kind of a sitar buzz on the high e string.

Claas – Leviathan: A very eager young guitar builder from Germany. He will soon find his place in the market near the big names

Skervesen – Raptor: I actually instantly flipped this guitar, it was playable and sounded great but it was not suiting me and there also were a couple of cosmetic issues…

some people live in a musical box so small, that the concept of what can be achieved with this instrument is invisible. I for one enjoyed your playing and music.

As a fellow guitarist I think the riffs and leads are sick!. Keep doing what you are doing. And ignore the haters, because opinions are like assholes. Everyone has got one, and is one. Extended range guitars give more range, more lows and highs. I play a 6 string, 7 string and 8 string.

Everyone seems to hate this but I think it is very unique and fantastic, none of you could play this if you tried...

Guy is really good. Creative riffer. The pulloffs/tapping are a lil much for me although very creative and cool sounding. He obviously has a lot of money available to buy these killer guitars. Way out of my price range. My best recommendation for an affordable metal 7 string is the Washburn 170C. $700 and yes its a signature model but says Parallaxe on the nut cover. Coolest design, simple yet badass.

djent kids don't know how to let a note ring out unless it's an ugly dissonant chord.

I hear like a "click" between the part played treble and bass at 1:54 ... as if it was
cut to edit.

This list amazes me. Why no Schecter, and why no signature guitars; Andy James AJ-7, Ibanez Universe, Schecter Loomis & Merrow, Jackson SLAT Chris Brodderick or Musician John Petrucci models? Someone mentioned "prestige" models, well surely having some of the greatest guitarists on the planet endorsing, designing and using guitars qualifies?

That KxK definitely sounds crunchy!!! Thanks for doing this dude. I'm always into Ibanez & ESP but after hearing how KxK sounds like, I definitely gonna check it out.
