I wouldn´t split marketing saas info into a seperate channel - i think its certainly applicable to most of your audience. Great products need great marketing.

Honestly the images are very AI looking and too generic. If you can fix the quality of the image generation (different model, maybe a custom prompt style etc.) the product could become more compelling

It would be cool to have an integration with YouTube to push the video directly in my channel - that can be extended to also decide the date and time of publishing all from your website. That would be very appeaing

I like the way you're combining coding and marketing on this channel. The indie hacking stuff is right up my alley but I don't think I'd subscribe to a pure "marketing" channel. Involving the marketing stuff just seems like a natural evolution of the channel and I'm here for it.

You shoudl keep a copy up until end of October and push some tiktok and insta ads starting at the beginning of October. You should be able to make back the ad spend with a little profit due to the seasonal nature of it.

I’m working on a simple saas project right now myself but struggling with the ui / ux side of things as I’m just a dev. What helped you in these personal projects to get the ui looking good without wasting time?

Also I’m digging this kind of content tbh

Sure..!!! it has to be a dedidcated channel for the whole Indie stufffs ... as a coder and youtube market researcher I can surely tell that you will loose traction for this channel if you dont upload the things for which this channel was meant to be, , , Create a dedicated indie channel, , , log your whole journey in there, , and youll get a dedicated a dediced code or no code indie audiences surely... because thats a complete different genrre from what this channel is doing, , , also about your this project idea shift .. this is gonna blow up fast, I can tell you tell, , so create another channel first, , if you succeed on that product, , your new channel will blow up too... so why debate? just move ..!!
(also hit a like Cody if you read my commment. i will know)

thanks for making code content and making our life easier, , appreciated man...!! ✨✨✨

how do you generate video from those segments?

8:15 you have to add a check so that the remaining credits are a positive number, otherwise users can overspend their credit balance

ok now this is sick! people will for sure use this dude, the subtitles look so professional and the slow zoom on the images...

If more than 20% of the videos are marketing-related, then we should create a new channel. Otherwise, it's not necessary. The developer needs to be okay with around 20% of the content being high-value marketing stuff.

awesome stuff sir. you are truly a great engineer and educator. i do have to say your products UX/UI could obvisouly needs alot of help, but probably when your sites are generating more money. this is still crazy and high quality product worked on by single engineer. huge respect.

Also for the pricing, you could just have it be both. They automatically get charged for $20 of credit every month, but also get $20 worth of "free" credit every month that expires.

If you give users free trial, you will get suspiciously many trial accounts abandoned after spending all credits.
Other services solve it by limiting what free users can do. Users have unlimited usage of basic functionality, but have to pay for advanced (and often most interesting) features. And for certain activities (daily login, daily quests, etc) they earn some credits to unlock some of advanced functionality (but not the most interesting features yet). This encourages them to keep single account and sometimes paying for it instead of just creating 100500 trial accounts and using everything for free forever.

I would love seeing you attempt to fine-tune some open source model such as ollama or something for the base for it and some comparison of both perceived quality of output pre and post as well as comparison of performance/cost compared to using some API

This seems like it could be a releavant product for a wider range of people. Hope you find success with it. Good luck!

I think its really important for developers to learn some of these marketing and business things. You should keep it all on this channel!

Another YT channel dedicated to SASS strategies would be awesome. As someone that can code a project from start to end I don't really watch coding videos anymore unless I need something specific, but I still watch some of your videos. Also there isn't much info about marketing a web service/app/whatever I guess because not many people finish projects and the ones that finish are vc backed they just spend thousnads on marketing or hiring people, dunno and then they are heroes on product hunt. The info out there is very vague and requires you to read a lot for almost no results, there's info, but tedious..it would be great to share marketing strategies, project ideas, what to do, what not to do..(this reminds me a guy who coded a site and he was asking for ID's numbers lol)
